I was reading Gordon Pape’s 6 steps to $1 Million book and it has some great advice.

He lists reasons why you should enjoy your job. Here they are:

• You’ll be enthusiastic about your work.
• You’ll bring all your creative juices in it.
• You’ll work extra hours if you need be.
• You’ll take special pride in doing it right.
• You’ll want to be the best there is in the field.
• You’ll take courses to improve your skills.
• You’ll work well with others.
• You’ll be better person to live with, because you’ll feel good about yourself.
• Your eagerness and accomplishments will make you a natural candidate for advancement.

I agree with all the author’s points and I think it is a essential to stay happy in life and you will actually enjoy waking up in the morning.  I am currently taking courses to improve my accounting skills and get a certification as a CGA. My co-workers have also been a great help and that just gives me another reason to want to continue to work where I am.  If the co-workers you’re working with are jerks or assholes, I am sure nobody would wan to wake up and deal with the co-workers on a daily basis.
